Physicians’ Fall Retreat 2026
Rediscovering the Wisdom of the Body:
Tria Principia
What to Expect
Join us for a 3 ½-day immersive retreat exploring a living, holistic approach to patient observation and physical examination. Through the Tria Principia—a threefold understanding of the body and the fundamental processes of nature—participants will deepen their ability to recognize relationships among structure, function, constitution, illness and healing.
To support close faculty interaction, collegial exchange, and experiential learning, participation is limited to 25 physicians.
This retreat will weave together time in nature, reflective practice, small group work, artistic activity, peer teaching, and clinical case discussion to cultivate new organs of perception for medical practice. Through a threefold study of body morphology, participants will learn to perceive the dynamic relationship between structure and function and discover clinical insights into individual constitutions, disease processes, and therapeutic interventions in order to access deeper levels of healing. For those interested, additional webinars on how to use the Tria Principia for anthroposophic prescribing will be offered in the weeks following the retreat.
PAAM is excited to offer access to Learner+, a clinician-centric platform that rewards CME/CE credits for Reflective Practice.
The retreat schedule has been thoughtfully structured to support meaningful reflection throughout the experience. Participants who choose to use Learner+ may reflect on their learning as it unfolds and pursue CME/CE credit through the certified activity Reflective Practice.
Attendees can use Learner+ to reflect on what they are learning during the retreat—anytime and anywhere learning happens.
CME/CE credit is available only through Learner+ for the certified activity Reflective Practice, jointly provided by CME Outfitters. Credit is not tied to this event or PAAM content but to the learner’s reflection within Learner+.
This retreat is designed for physicians seeking to:
-
Presentations, activities and discussions are designed specifically with the intention of reawakening and renewing the physicians’ observational capacities.
-
Our faculty of certified Anthroposophic physicians offer real-world experience and insight into how the unique lens of Anthroposophic Medicine can be used to enliven medical practice and patient care.
-
During this retreat, ample time is spent on rethinking how we “see” our patients. Much can be gleaned from careful observation and physical examination. We show you how to bring these insights together into a fuller picture of the patient in illness and in health.
-
Our retreats prioritize presence, listening, safety, and respect in peaceful and comfortable surroundings — so you can show up as you are and become fully engaged in the process.
