Sunday, May 3 to Friday, May 8
Taught by Adam Blanning MD, Carmen Hering DO and Alicia Landman-Reiner MD
part of the Foundation Track, for those who are in their 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of training
This course will provide an overview of seven diagnostic and therapeutic patterns fundamental to anthroposophic medicine. These patterns touch on many levels: anatomic, physiologic, pathophysiologic, psychological and spiritual. Understanding these patterns helps us view our patients more "constitutionally" and provides a framework for working with illness. Chronic and functional illnesses that will be discussed include: arteriosclerosis, arthritis, pre-syncope and hypotension, depression, palpitations, Raynaud's, lymphadenopathy/edema, fatigue, dysmenorrhea, allergy, infant colic and tics. We will cover practical prescribing, helping you create your own "clinical toolbox" to begin incorporating anthroposophic medicine into your own practice. The clinical use of metal remedies will be emphasized.
